Volo Farm is pleased to announce our new rider level program. Beginning in
February, we will be holding informational meetings to introduce students to
our rider levels.
The rider level program is designed to allow continuity for each student at
Volo Farm. Rider levels will allow students to set goals and reach them
within a set group of standards. We expect that each student will have a
better understanding of the progression from novice rider to experienced
horseman.
Each Volo student will be given, by their instructor, a set of skills that
they will be tested on. Tests will be held as a lesson during students’
regular scheduled classes. Testers will be Linda Levy and Melissa Consalvo.
We will start testing students beginning the week of March 5th. Students
will be given a pass/not pass grade for their level as well as a list of
skills they need to improve before moving on to the next level.
Please be sure to discuss with your instructor any questions or concerns you
have regarding this program. Rider levels are available for your inspection
in the warm room. If you prefer a hard copy you can order one from the
office for $5.
